Maintenato is job, quote and invoice management software for sole traders. It is currently in beta: features may change, and some things you might expect (such as taking card payments in the app, text-message sending, connections to accounting software, or more than one person on an account) are not available yet.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the quotes, invoices and customer data you create, and for keeping your login secure. One account is for one person and one business. You must confirm your email address to use the app.
When you press Send (or switch on reminders), Maintenato emails your customer on your behalf, from our sending address with your business name, and replies go to your business email. You are responsible for what you send, for only emailing people you have a proper reason to contact about your work for them, and for the customer details you enter. Sending is limited per day to prevent misuse, and we may switch it off for an account that is being abused. We can only tell you an email was handed to our email provider; we can't promise it reached the customer's inbox.
You can download your data (spreadsheets and PDFs, with job photos if you choose) and change your email address in Settings. You can delete your account yourself in Settings, under Your data. Deleting is permanent: it removes your account and everything in it from the live service. Backups that already exist are kept for up to 30 days and are then deleted. UK businesses are generally required to keep invoicing and accounting records for several years; keeping them is your responsibility, so download what you need before you delete, and check gov.uk or ask your accountant how long to keep them.
The assistant drafts records from what you type. It can make mistakes, so check every preview before you confirm it. You are responsible for what you confirm.
Maintenato is free during the beta and we don't take payments. If we introduce charges we will email you well in advance and you won't be charged unless you choose to continue. There is no contract: you can delete your account yourself in Settings, or email info@maintenato.com. See our Refund Policy.
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee it, and as a beta the service may change or be unavailable at times. Support is by email, handled directly.
Don't use Maintenato for anything illegal, or to store data you don't have the right to hold. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service or put other customers' data at risk.
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be emailed to you before they take effect.
